My niece and nephew have birthdays one week apart from each other. We had a combined First Birthday party with a Polar Express theme (yes, there was hot chocolate!)

Baby Shower: Bucks and Trucks
It's a boy! What better way to celebrate a new baby boy then with some woodsy, hunting style decorations?! And some yummy cupcakes of course!
Birthday: Zoo Train Birthday Cake
Happy Birthday to my nephew Hutson!
This was one of the most fun cakes to make! I baked the cakes in different size bread pans. Then iced and covered them in fondant.
Decorating them took some creativity! But trains are so fun. We made some animals from the zoo, created a logging car, and even made a coal car out of bits of cake.
They're all connected with pieces of fondant made to look like chains. Everything came together to make a fine cake for a young boy's birthday!
